Scott Coker Announces New MMA Promotion Set to Debut in Early 2027

Former Strikeforce chief Scott Coker, later head of Bellator MMA and involved in the late-2023 PFL fallout, is preparing to roll out a new mixed-martial-arts promotion slated for early 2027. No official name or broadcast partner has been announced, but a brand-launch gathering is scheduled for Sept. 14 in New York City, where further information may be disclosed. Coker’s senior team features Kevin Kay as chief content officer, Tom Fox as chief operating officer, Rich Chou as executive vice president of athlete relations, and Chris DeBlasio as executive vice president and global head of communications.

Speaking to one outlet, Coker described the current MMA landscape as having a “funk” and said his organization will aim to revitalize fan interest, similar to MVP’s approach. He acknowledged the challenge of assembling a roster that aligns with his vision, noting limited talent options at present.
