Scottie Scheffler clinches second FedEx Cup and tops Tiger Woods in earnings

At the Tour Championship in Atlanta, Scottie Scheffler erased a three-stroke gap by carding a 4-under 66, clinching his second FedEx Cup title. A precise 5-iron on the 211-yard second hole left the ball within two inches of the cup, and a 25-foot birdie on the fourth helped him catch Viktor Hovland. Scheffler took the lead on the 13th and maintained it through the final round at East Lake Golf Club.

The triumph gives him his third victory of the season, tying the 2026 record for most wins with Chris Gotterup, Matt Fitzpatrick and U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark. The $10 million winner’s share pushes his career earnings to $130,390,661, moving him past Tiger Woods, who had topped the list for nearly 26 years. Scheffler also holds the Jack Nicklaus Award for four consecutive years, and a fifth would equal Woods’ streak for most consecutive honors.
