Search intensifies for missing 20-year-old after disappearance near Haugesund harbour

A man in his twenties was last seen on Thursday evening outside Cafe MM on Indre kai in Haugesund centre. His family filed a missing-person report on Friday afternoon, and the search effort expanded to include fire-service divers on Saturday and Sunday, as well as aerial patrols and underwater cameras covering a broad area. The Coast Guard contributed an underwater drone from the vessel KV "Tor" to aid the operation.

Police have urged owners of boathouses and vessels in the harbour to inspect their premises for any clues. The missing person’s mobile phone has shown no activity since 22:40 on Thursday. While officials have opened a search for a presumed deceased individual in the water, they have not ruled out the possibility that he may be on land, and the investigation continues without indications of mental-health or suicidal motives.
