Search teams scour Mount Remarkable after female hiker fails to return

A woman who set out on a hike in Mount Remarkable National Park did not come back, prompting a coordinated search by authorities.

The missing hiker did not return from a trek yesterday, leading PolAir and local crews to conduct a night-time search. This morning a renewed effort began with police patrols, mounted units and State Emergency Service volunteers. The park, a popular spot in South Australia's Mid North, lies roughly 250 to 290 kilometres north of Adelaide.
