Second school start grant installment arrives in November, address checks required
The second portion of the school-start grant will be paid in November, and recipients must verify their registered address by September 20.
A second disbursement of the school-start grant is scheduled for November, completing the support package for qualifying children. Minister Vilmos Kátai-Németh urged beneficiaries who obtained the initial payment via bank account to check the address listed in the Magyar Államkincstár system against their official residence card. If the two do not align, the change must be submitted by September 20, either through the ügyfélkapu portal or by contacting the relevant office.
Those who received the first installment by post will automatically receive the next payment at the same address and need not take any action. The grant is provided automatically, requires no application, and is tax-free. The first installment was transferred at the end of August.
