Second suspect in Kuala Pilah teen murder kept in custody until Oct. 9

A 16-year-old suspect linked to the September 25 killing of a Form Two student in Kuala Pilah has had his remand extended to Oct. 9.

The Kuala Pilah district police chief announced that a 16-year-old male suspect in the Sept. 25 death of a 14-year-old Form Two student will stay in remand until Oct. 9, extending his detention by six days. He is being investigated for murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code. The other 16-year-old suspect remains held until Thursday.

So far, police have taken 69 statements, with five pupils reporting they were bullied by one of the suspects. The victim was found unconscious in his dormitory and later died at Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital. Investigators are still waiting for laboratory test results, and no new developments have been reported.
