He noted that he can appreciate EDM versions of country hits, such as a remix of “Ring of Fire,” as a way to bridge the gap with his wife, former Miami Dolphins cheerleader Jeanette, who is an avid country fan.

Rubio also described his ideal weekend as a marathon of college and NFL football, though he admitted that such a schedule is unlikely to happen. His son Anthony, a running back for the Florida Gators, occasionally joins the family in watching games. Looking ahead, Rubio hinted at a potential career shift toward sports media, suggesting a podcast that would focus on the intersection of culture and athletics rather than foreign policy. He dismissed the nickname “Lil’ Marco” and said he might be better suited to talent scouting or production in the music world.
