Kennedy’s exclusive meat-and-fermented-vegetable diet during an interview on Katie Miller’s podcast, exclaiming he would not travel with a cooler full of sauerkraut. Kennedy, who promotes the “Make America Healthy Again” agenda, relies on a constant supply of sauerkraut, a fact his wife Cheryl Hines has previously highlighted as a source of odor in restaurants.

Rubio’s remarks were accompanied by a brief exchange with his wife Jeanette Dousdebes Rubio, who denied support for the diet. The Department of Health and Human Services declined to comment. Kennedy recently debuted a cooking show promising meals under $5 per serving, a claim that a columnist at one outlet found to actually cost around $18.
