Security forces detain eight terror suspects and seize weapons across Kashmir districts

Joint operations by the Army, CRPF and J&K Police captured eight alleged terrorists and recovered arms and ammunition in three districts of Kashmir.

Security forces comprising the Army, Central Reserve Police Force and Jammu & Kashmir Police carried out coordinated actions in three districts of the Union Territory. In Shopian’s Heerpora locality, a joint check on a two-wheel vehicle led to the arrest of Junaid Muzaffar Dar, Aamir Yousaf and Junaid Bashir Dar, with two hand grenades and extremist posters seized. A second operation in Shopian detained Haris Manzoor, Ashiq Hussain and Arif Ahmad Kumar, from whom a grenade, two AK-47 magazines, twenty rounds and additional posters were recovered.

In Pulwama, intelligence-driven searches resulted in the capture of two suspects possessing a pistol, a grenade and ammunition. Finally, a sweep in Sopore’s Manzseer area produced an AK-series rifle, three magazines, four grenades and a substantial ammunition stockpile, with further searches ongoing.
