Sejong Mayor Highlights New Industries at Opening of 10th Global Business Forum
The 10th Global Business Forum began in Seoul, featuring talks on business, technology and culture, with Sejong City Mayor Cho Sang-ho promoting the city’s growth plans.
One outlet and Herald Business launched the opening ceremony of the 10th Global Business Forum in Seoul’s Ambassador Seoul — A Pullman Hotel. Mayor Cho Sang-ho presented Sejong City’s strategy to expand beyond government functions by courting semiconductor and bio-health companies, highlighting a planned industrial complex and a digital-media hub. He also noted Sejong’s central location and its ongoing effort to secure full legal status as the nation’s administrative capital through legislation.
Forum leaders Jung Won-ju and Choi Jin-young called on attendees to build both commercial networks and personal relationships, emphasizing mutual support during challenging times. Alumni President Kim Hee-chul reflected on the forum’s growth since its pandemic-era debut. The program will continue until Dec. 16, offering 12 sessions and six special events.
