Selangor parking concession documents lag, helicopter crash deemed accidental
The Selangor Intelligent Parking concession paperwork remains largely undisclosed, while police say no foul play was found in a fatal helicopter crash in Sarawak.
The PJ Sejahtera Secretariat flagged non-compliance with a Selangor Freedom of Information order demanding 15 categories of documents on the Selangor Intelligent Parking concession, which links the state’s Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) and its subsidiary Rantaian Mesra Sdn Bhd (RMSB). The Selangor Information Board gave the State Secretary’s Office 21 days to comply, but 13 categories are still missing and RMSB has only partially fulfilled three.
The matter was presented to Parliament’s Special Select Committee on the Freedom of Information Bill on 28 September, and a written submission was sent to Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Azalina Othman Said. In a separate incident, Sarawak police investigating the Flying Doctor Service helicopter crash in Long Lellang, Ulu Baram, which killed five, reported no signs of foul play, though the cause of the crash has yet to be determined.
