Senate President Abrudean explains office meeting between interim PM Bolojan and CCR head Tănăsescu

Called repeatedly, Senate President Mircea Abrudean testified before a parliamentary investigation committee about an August encounter in his office with Ilie Bolojan, interim prime minister and PNL leader, and Simina Tănăsescu, president of the Constitutional Court. Abrudean explained that a verbal arrangement exists permitting the prime minister to use his office whenever required. He recounted that the meeting addressed the court's urgent need for extra space, a problem Tănăsescu has repeatedly highlighted.

According to Tănăsescu, the discussion centered on identifying suitable rooms within a government-managed building. Abrudean added that secretaries from both the Senate and the Court had located a potential space, though further steps were unclear. The inquiry noted that neither Bolojan nor Tănăsescu has appeared before the committee to date.
