Senate President Pro Tempore's new office found gutted after Estrada's removal

The office vacated by detained Senator Jinggoy Estrada was stripped of furniture, tiles and wiring before being handed to Senator Vicente Sotto III.

Footage captured by a Super Radyo dzBB reporter revealed that the office once occupied by detained Senator Jinggoy Estrada has been completely cleared of furniture, floor and wall tiles, and even wall sockets. The room, slated for Senator Vicente Sotto III after he took over as Senate President Pro Tempore, was described as unusable, with exposed wiring and missing bathroom fixtures. A GMA reporter added that the pantry and restroom were similarly stripped, with sinks and toilets removed.

Estrada's office announced it will release an explanation later in the day. The senator has been held in Quezon City jail since a Sandiganbayan order for non-bailable plunder charges, preventing his attendance at Senate sessions.
