Kennedy defended the administration’s sanctions and blockade, noting the partial closure of the Strait of Hormuz is driving up oil and gasoline prices.

He also condemned the practice of using taxpayer money for personal political advertising and called for a rule barring living politicians from having buildings named after them. The remarks come as some GOP candidates distance themselves from Trump on the Iran issue while emphasizing high fuel costs.
