Senior surgeon dismissed by Klinikum Lippe after AfD candidacy becomes public

Klinikum Lippe, a municipal hospital owned by the Lippe district, has fired senior surgeon Svetlana Spirina after her candidacy for the AfD in the Osnabrück municipal election became known. Although Spirina initially denied any political run, the Osnabrück election authority verified that she signed the necessary declaration of consent. Spirina, listed as a senior surgeon in the hospital’s pediatric surgery department, no longer appears on the department’s website.
