Sepehran Airlines flight returns after tire loss and cabin panel failure

A Sepehran Airlines flight departing from the Sáhid Hásemi-Nezsád international airport encountered a tire problem that caused part of the tread to separate during climb toward Kermánsáh. Simultaneously, large sections of the cabin's interior paneling detached, exposing parts of the aircraft’s structure and causing upper storage compartments to open, with luggage spilling onto the aisle. Pilots reported the emergency, aborted the flight, and returned to Meshed, where the plane landed without any passenger injuries.

The runway was briefly closed for investigation before being reopened. Authorities will examine the cause of the tire malfunction, any related engine issues, and the circumstances of the cabin damage. The incident follows a recent event involving another Sepehran 737-500 that experienced landing-gear failure.
