September GST revenue climbs 14.7% to exceed ₹2.03 trillion

Gross GST collections rose 14.7% in September, topping ₹2.03 trillion, while refunds fell 3% year-on-year.

September's GST figures showed a 14.7% rise, pushing gross collections above ₹2.03 trillion. Revenue from domestic transactions climbed 10.1% to roughly ₹1.38 trillion, while taxes on imported goods surged 26% to ₹65,525 crore. Refunds issued during the month fell 3% year-on-year, totaling ₹27,001 crore. When refunds are deducted, net GST collections increased by 18.1% to exceed ₹1.76 trillion. Over the April-September half-year, gross GST receipts grew 11.6% to more than ₹12.46 trillion, and net collections rose 10.4% to over ₹10.66 trillion.
