Series of nighttime bike attacks and assaults reported in Delftse Hout

Police investigations have uncovered a pattern of nighttime attacks in the Delftse Hout recreation zone near Delft, where several women experienced violent encounters involving their bicycles. The earliest documented case occurred in early July when a woman was dragged from her bike and assaulted around 01:00. Six days later, a second woman suffered the same fate.
In early September, a woman was struck while on her bike and assaulted at approximately 02:00, and shortly thereafter another woman called police after nearly being pushed off her bicycle. Law enforcement has launched a probe, increased patrols, and is seeking witnesses, while noting that it is not yet known if the incidents are connected. A suspect description for the September assault matches earlier reports: a male, 20-25 years old, 1.75-1.80 m tall, dark-skinned, short black hair, and slim build.
