Seven & i Holdings reports strong half-year profit growth and 7-Eleven surge
Seven & i Holdings posted a 36.6% rise in operating income and a 17.8% increase in net profit for the first half of fiscal 2026.
The Japanese retailer's operating income climbed to ¥232.2 billion on a comparable basis, while net income attributable to its parent rose to ¥124.4 billion. Its U.S. convenience-store arm, 7-Eleven, Inc., generated US$1.32 billion in operating income, up 45.8% thanks to favorable fuel markets. The delivery platform 7NOW recorded first-half sales of US$550 million, a 15.6% gain, and is on track to meet its US$1.1 billion annual goal.
