Seven workers killed and more than 20 injured in head-on crash at Gujarat renewable-energy park

A truck collided head-on with a Bolero Camper pickup at a clean-energy site near Khavda in Gujarat, killing seven workers and injuring over 20.

In the early hours of Friday, a truck and a Bolero Camper pickup traveling in opposite directions struck each other at a renewable-energy installation near Khavda, Gujarat. The impact left the pickup severely damaged, with seven workers trapped inside; all later died after rescue crews used a crane to remove them. More than 20 additional workers sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital by ambulance.

Sub-inspector MB Chavda of Khavda police station confirmed the details to PTI. Police have launched an inquiry to determine whether negligence contributed to the tragedy. The incident highlights safety concerns at large industrial sites.
