Shin Ohashi shatters 200m breaststroke world record at Asian Games
Japan's Shin Ohashi broke the 200-meter breaststroke world record at the Asian Games, posting a time of 2:04.83.
Competing in Nagoya, Shin Ohashi of Japan set a new world best in the 200-meter breaststroke, finishing in 2 minutes, 4.83 seconds. The previous mark of 2:05.48 had been held by China's Qin Haiyang since the 2023 world championships. Denis Petrashov of Kyrgyzstan earned silver with a 2:08.67, while South Korea's Cho Sung-jae took bronze in 2:08.76.
