Shriram Finance reported a 59% jump in Q2 FY27 net profit to ₹3,684 crore, crediting higher automobile demand after the GST 2.0 reforms.
Shriram Finance announced a 59% increase in consolidated net profit for Q2 FY27, reaching ₹3,684 crore compared with ₹2,314 crore in the same period last year. The company's total income climbed 16% year-on-year to ₹13,802 crore, and net interest income rose 38% to ₹8,661.04 crore. Assets under management as of September 30 stood at ₹3,29,021 crore, a 17% rise from the previous September.
Executive vice-chairman Umesh Revankar attributed the strong performance to heightened demand in the automobile sector after the GST 2.0 reforms were introduced on September 22. Earnings per share rose 27% to ₹15.63, and the board declared an interim dividend of ₹6.50 per share, a 325% increase.
Why it matters
