Singer Michael Kiwanuka reveals stroke and announces new album Fudge

Michael Kiwanuka used his Instagram platform to inform fans that a stroke, triggered by a brain bleed from high blood pressure, occurred a few months ago. He described the recovery as a long and challenging journey, which forced him to cancel several performances in the United States and left his touring schedule unclear. Kiwanuka announced that his fifth studio album, titled Fudge, will be released in the near future.

He expressed gratitude toward NHS personnel and other medical professionals who have assisted his rehabilitation, as well as his friends, family, and team for their ongoing support. The singer reflected on the difficulty of the past months but said he feels he is making progress. He promised further updates about the album and his health in upcoming communications.
