Sita Air plane loses rear tyre on landing at Dolpa's Juphal Airport

A Sita Air aircraft carrying 13 passengers from Nepalgunj touched down at Juphal Airport in the remote Dolpa district when its rear tyre detached, leaving the wheel on the runway. The incident occurred at approximately 8:25 am and involved no injuries among the passengers, seven of whom were foreign nationals. The plane, identified by the call sign 9N-AJH, remained on the strip, preventing other flights from landing, including a Nepali Army aircraft that had to abort its approach.

Officials reported that the aircraft suffered no additional damage. Technicians are being prepared for helicopter transport to the site to fix the aircraft and clear the runway.
