Six aboard Canadian air ambulance presumed dead after crash off Nantucket

Six people on a Latitude air ambulance are presumed dead after the Gulfstream aircraft vanished off Nantucket while en route from Bermuda to Boston.

A Latitude Air Ambulance Gulfstream disappeared over the Atlantic near Nantucket during a flight from Bermuda to Boston, carrying four crew members, a patient and a family escort. The pilot reported an electrical problem and declared an emergency before contact was lost. US Coast Guard assets searched more than 1,600 square miles for roughly 27 hours, later finding debris but no survivors. Authorities have now suspended the search and the six aboard are considered deceased.
