Six Flags to Move Corporate Headquarters Back to Arlington, Texas

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation disclosed plans to relocate its corporate headquarters from Charlotte, North Carolina, to its existing offices at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The company, which originated with Six Flags Over Texas in 1961, cited operational efficiency and a desire to be nearer to its five Texas parks as primary reasons. CEO John Reilly explained that consolidating staff and decision-making in Arlington will enhance culture and coordination, with the move expected to finish by March 2027.

The shift follows the 2024 merger with Cedar Fair that initially prompted the Charlotte headquarters move. Arlington Mayor Jim Ross welcomed the return, highlighting the city’s central location in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Six Flags also pledged to remain a major employer in Charlotte and will keep a presence in Sandusky, Ohio, home of Cedar Point.
