Six killed and three injured after vehicle plunges into gorge in Poonch, J&K
Six people died and three, including an 11-year-old boy, were injured when their vehicle slipped off a road and fell into a gorge in Surankote, Poonch district.
A vehicle carrying residents of Seri Chouhana lost traction on a road in Surankote and plunged into a deep gorge, killing six occupants and injuring three others, among them an 11-year-old child. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed condolences on X and ordered the district administration to assist the victims’ families. Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma and senior officials visited the hospital where the injured were treated.
