Comcast and Paramount Skydance announced that the board of their European streaming partnership SkyShowtime is undertaking a review of strategic options, citing the highly competitive market environment. In a letter to CEO Monty Sarhan, the board noted that a shutdown remains a possibility, though no resolution has been reached. SkyShowtime, which aggregates programming from NBCUniversal, Sky Studios and Paramount, serves more than 20 countries across Europe and reports several million subscribers.

Sarhan shared the memo with staff, emphasizing support for employees and continuity of service. The board urged the team to maintain focus on delivering quality content through 2027 while consultations with employees will follow local regulations. Operations for customers and partners will proceed unchanged until any decision is finalized.
