Skytrax ranks the world’s top economy-class airlines for 2026
Aviation consultancy Skytrax released its 2026 list of the best economy-class carriers, with five Asian/Middle-Eastern airlines leading and Delta the only U.S. carrier in the top ten.
Skytrax’s 2026 economy-class ranking examined overall comfort, catering, entertainment options and Wi-Fi availability using annual passenger feedback. Singapore Airlines claimed the summit thanks to its extra-wide 3-3-3 seat layout on Boeing 777-300ERs and highly rated meals. Cathay Pacific secured second place, highlighted for larger seats, attentive cabin crew and high-resolution touchscreens.
Qatar Airways impressed with high-speed Starlink satellite Wi-Fi, while EVA Air was lauded for authentic Taiwanese cuisine and adjustable headrests. ANA rounded out the top five, noted for legroom and consistent service, though seat configurations vary. Delta was the sole American airline mentioned, recognized for a broad movie library but falling short of the top five spots.
