Slipknot faces fan boycott after naming Marilyn Manson as opening act

Slipknot disclosed that Marilyn Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, will serve as the opening act for its summer 2027 stadium tour, beginning at Wembley Stadium in London and continuing across South America. The announcement sparked a wave of criticism on social media, with thousands of fans stating they will boycott the concerts due to Manson’s history of alleged sexual misconduct. Women have previously accused the 57-year-old artist of abuse, and his former fiancée Evan Rachel Wood publicly accused him of long-term violence in 2021.

Slipknot has not responded to the backlash. The tour will also feature other notable acts such as Bring Me the Horizon and Lamb of God, and comes as the band releases new music after a three-year hiatus.
