Slovak police stop arson plot against drone manufacturing plant, detain three foreigners

Slovak police foiled an arson scheme targeting a drone factory, arresting three foreign suspects without any injuries or damage.

On Tuesday, Slovak police announced they had averted an arson attempt on a factory producing unmanned aerial systems in the country's east. Investigators detained three foreign suspects, two within Slovakia and a third in Germany, after confiscating a large quantity of incendiary mixture, equipment, mobile phones, a camera and a handwritten scheme. Roughly 70 employees were present at the plant at the time, yet the incident resulted in no injuries or property loss.

The detainees have been charged with public endangerment committed on commission. Police did not reveal the factory’s identity, exact location, or the party that may have commissioned the attack. Slovakia, a NATO and EU member, borders Ukraine to the east.
