Software engineer killed after family assault in Delhi's Nihal Vihar

Vinay Gupta, a 31-year-old software engineer with Adobe, was living in Laxmi Park with his wife and their four-month-old twins when a marital dispute erupted on Friday. The disagreement prompted his wife to call her family, who traveled to the couple's residence in Nihil Vihar, Delhi. According to police, the relatives attacked Gupta, causing serious injuries that later led to his death.

Authorities have detained four people suspected of participating in the assault and are interrogating them to determine each person's role. A criminal case is being registered under Sections 103(1) (murder) and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the conflict and the events that preceded the violence.
