Sony and Universal file fresh lawsuit against AI music firm Suno

Sony Music Entertainment and Universal Music Group, along with a number of subsidiary labels, have filed a fresh 45-page lawsuit against AI music-generation startup Suno in the federal court of the District of Massachusetts. The complaint claims that Suno’s latest AI model continues to infringe on copyrighted songs owned by the two companies. The labels contend that the new model does not remedy prior infringement and therefore remains unlawful.
