South Korean beauty firm APR earns dual international AI certifications

APR, a South Korean beauty technology company, disclosed that it has achieved two international AI certifications: ISO/IEC 42001 for its AI management framework and the AI Trust Mark granted by Norway’s certification agency Nemko. To meet the ISO standard, APR created 46 management documents spanning seven layers that integrate AI risk oversight with its ISO 9001 quality system and information-security protocols. The AI Trust Mark was awarded for the AI-driven care mode of its Medicube one outlet-R Booster Pro X2 device, which analyses skin data and usage history to suggest personalized routines while capping treatment intensity and reverting to rule-based logic if the AI fails.

The certification evaluates compliance with global AI regulations such as the EU AI Act and the U.S. NIST AI Risk Management Framework. APR said the dual certifications validate its AI governance and product reliability, and it plans to expand AI-based personalized beauty services.
