SpaceX completes full wet dress rehearsal ahead of Starship orbital test

SpaceX announced that its Starship vehicle successfully passed a wet-dress rehearsal, a full-scale launch simulation that includes fueling, engine start-up and a complete countdown sequence. The test confirmed the integrity of fuel lines, software controls and the link between the rocket and ground teams, and demonstrated scrubbing and fuel-drain procedures for adverse weather. The rehearsal concluded without the vehicle lifting off, as intended.

The next step is the 14th Starship flight, scheduled for September 28 with a 75-minute launch window beginning at 8:15 AM Eastern Time. The mission will place the vehicle into orbit for ten hours, completing six orbits before re-entry and ocean splash-down, and will carry 26 next-generation Starlink V3 satellites. The launch will be streamed live on X.
