Missing key players Ezi Magbegor and Alanna Smith due to injuries, and with Jade Melbourne sidelined by illness, the Opals struggled from the start. Spain surged ahead, leading by 19 points at the half and maintaining control throughout the game. The loss concludes Australia's campaign, despite a previous comeback win over Italy.
