An SSB assistant sub-inspector in Muzaffarpur faces allegations of fraud, extortion and rape after a Delhi influencer says he was lured to the city and assaulted.
An assistant sub-inspector of the Sashastra Seema Bal stationed at the SKMCH sector headquarters in Muzaffarpur, Vikas Kumar, is under investigation after three women accused him of fraud, blackmail and sexual exploitation. The Delhi influencer, who traveled with her two-year-old son after being promised increased followers, says she was housed near Station Road, where the officer’s associate raped her and filmed the act, later demanding Rs 20,000 to keep the video private.
Two Lucknow residents claim the officer sent lewd messages and tried to coerce them into dropping their complaints. Both the SSB and Muzaffarpur police have opened inquiries, with the SSB forming a three-member committee and the police deciding on FIR registration after verification. The outcomes will depend on the evidence the complainants provide.
