Startup Fambot rolls out AI-powered family chief of staff

Fambot has launched an AI assistant designed to handle family logistics, offering daily checklists and calendar previews for parents.

Fambot introduced an AI-driven “chief of staff” for families, targeting the overload of emails, messaging groups and school communications that parents face. Users connect their email accounts, calendars and WhatsApp groups, after which the system supplies a daily task list and a forward-looking view of scheduled activities. The startup was created by former Instagram engineer Greg Karlin, former UnitedMasters president David Reich—who also led Uber’s Transit division—and former Google and LinkedIn employee Jason Morrow.

Unlike many text-only AI bots, Fambot offers a web and mobile app interface, allowing more sophisticated features and future links to school, sports and club platforms. Over 1,000 families tested the beta, showing appeal across diverse household types. The company has secured $3.5 million in pre-seed financing, led by NextView Ventures and Baukunst, with additional backing from Correlation Ventures, Karman Ventures and Founders Network. Currently free during beta, the service will later be priced similarly to a streaming subscription.

Why it matters

It offers parents a centralized AI tool to reduce daily coordination burdens and reclaim family time.
