Stellantis issues recall for almost 850,000 U.S. vehicles over camera software flaw
Stellantis announced a recall of nearly 850,000 U.S. models because a software defect can disable the rear-view camera display.
Stellantis disclosed that almost 850,000 vehicles sold in the United States are being recalled because a software glitch can interrupt the rear-view camera feed. The affected lineup includes 2026-27 Chrysler Pacifica minivans, Dodge Charger, several Jeep models such as Cherokee and Wrangler, and Ram pickups and vans. The company has not identified any crashes or injuries linked to the issue.
Drivers will be provided with a wireless software patch to restore camera functionality. In addition, Stellantis is recalling 107,000 units in Canada, Mexico and other regions for the identical problem. Owners are advised to rely on mirrors while the update is applied.
