Stellantis to pause production at three French plants for up to two weeks in late October
Stellantis will suspend operations at its Sochaux, Rennes and Mulhouse factories for one to two weeks at the end of October.
The automaker announced a temporary shutdown of three French facilities—Sochaux in Doubs, Rennes in Ille-et-Vilaine, and Mulhouse in Haut-Rhin—lasting up to two weeks in late October. The Sochaux and Rennes sites are being halted because of an insufficient supply of certain electric-vehicle batteries, while the Mulhouse plant will stop output as Stellantis retires specific models. The company said the moves are necessary for industrial reasons.
