Stéphane Plaza awaits sentencing on domestic-violence appeal, faces suspended jail time
Former M6 presenter Stéphane Plaza will be sentenced on Friday, with a possible six-month suspended prison term and two-year probation for domestic-violence convictions.
Stéphane Plaza, once a popular presenter on M6, is scheduled to receive his judgment on Friday, 18 September, after an appeal concerning domestic-violence charges. The court may impose up to six months of prison, suspended, with a two-year probationary term. The allegations cover physical and psychological abuse committed between 2018 and 2022, resulting in a prior suspended sentence of one year handed down in February 2025.
Two separate complaints were lodged in October 2023 by Amandine and Paola; Plaza was convicted for the first complaint but cleared of the second, which involved alleged psychological abuse. Medical reports detail severe finger injuries to the first complainant, including a fracture and bone avulsion. Plaza acknowledges a heated dispute but claims the injury was accidental, citing his dyspraxia, while his lawyers seek to have the act classified as involuntary. Since the accusations, M6 removed all his programmes in February 2025 and withdrew its stake in his real-estate agency.
