Stockholm police officer charged with child rape also linked to prior pedophile probe
A police officer employed by the Stockholm police region has been indicted for multiple child rapes and possession of child porn, and he previously appeared in a 2024 investigation of an international pedophile network.
The officer, who held a supervisory position within the Stockholm police region, now faces charges for several child-rape offenses and for holding illegal child-sexual material. Earlier in 2024, he was mentioned in a separate inquiry into a high-profile international pedophile ring after his online username surfaced in chat logs. At that time, investigators found no evidence to charge him. The new indictment revives scrutiny of his earlier involvement.
