Suno partners with Believe and TuneCore to launch licensed AI music model
AI music platform Suno has signed a partnership with France-based independent label group Believe and its digital distributor TuneCore, allowing participating artists to opt into new licensed AI-generated music products.
Suno, the AI-driven music generation service, announced a strategic partnership with independent music company Believe and its digital distribution arm TuneCore. Under the pact, music from artists and labels affiliated with Believe and TuneCore can be incorporated into Suno's new licensed AI models, and those who opt in will receive payment while retaining protected rights. The collaboration also grants access to Suno's newly introduced transparency mechanisms and download caps, and any AI-created tracks become eligible for distribution via Believe and TuneCore.
This move follows Suno's recent licensing deals with Warner Music and BMG and reverses Believe's April 2026 decision to block Suno's earlier models. Despite the partnership, Suno remains embroiled in legal disputes with Universal, Sony and a lawsuit from Jason Isbell alleging unauthorized use of musicians' identities.
