At a Sunoco station in Halfmoon, New York, customers were offered a 20% discount on their fuel purchase if they danced on camera for a minimum of 15 seconds. The idea, launched by social-media coordinator Paulina Sirtori, was filmed and posted online, quickly gathering close to 10 million views. Participants such as Denise Lapointe, a single woman in her sixties, reported saving $15 after their performance.

Store manager Eva Marie praised the initiative as a way to lift spirits amid high gas prices and other cost-of-living pressures. The station also highlighted other dancers, including a regular named Bill and a patron named Dan, who added their own moves. While the campaign is ending, staff hinted at future discount challenges to keep customers engaged.
