Sunway Ipoh Mall Secures 80% Tenancy, Unveils 25 New Brands Ahead of 2027 Launch
Sunway Ipoh Mall has signed leases for 80% of its space and revealed 25 retailers as it prepares to open in late 2027.
Sunway Ipoh Mall, part of the Sunway City Ipoh township, has already locked in tenants for 80% of its 1.2 million-square-foot retail area, unveiling 25 brands ahead of its scheduled fourth-quarter-2027 opening. Seven anchor tenants—Parkson Elite, Village Grocer, TGV Cinemas, Mr D.I.Y., Sunway Ice Rink, Sunway Ipoh Exhibition Centre and Sunway Megalanes—join nine retailers making their Perak debut, including MUJI, UNIQLO and Decathlon.
HC Chan of Sunway Malls Group said the leasing momentum signals strong demand for Tier-1 shopping space in a market that currently lacks such facilities, prompting many residents to shop in the Klang Valley. The mall will serve a catchment of about 2.5 million people, offering amenities such as a 36-lane bowling centre, a 10-hall cinema with 1,500 seats, and 2,950 parking bays with EV charging. Discussions are ongoing to improve public-transport links, and the project complements nearby attractions like Lost World of Tambun and Sunway Medical Centre Ipoh.
