Support for Ine Eriksen Søreide as prime minister slips among Høyre voters

According to a fresh poll conducted for TV 2 by the research firm Verian, support for Ine Eriksen Søreide as Høyre’s prime-minister nominee has fallen to just over half of the party’s electorate, marking a downward trend since the last poll. The figures for Jonas Gahr Støre of the Labour Party and Sylvi Listhaug of the Progress Party have stayed roughly unchanged. Election analyst Terje Sørensen highlighted that the internal backing for Søreide is now only a slight majority of Høyre voters.

Søreide responded that the party will take incremental steps and remain patient while focusing on long-term policy work. She added that any adjustments will be part of ongoing political development.
