Supporter in Lindsay Clancy murder trial accused of secretly filming jurors

Dawn Light, a 56-year-old former nurse and longtime supporter of Lindsay Clancy, has been charged with aggravated intimidation of a juror after prosecutors allege she filmed jurors exiting the courtroom during Clancy’s murder trial. Light’s personal tragedies include the 2013 death of her husband Daniel from ALS complications and the 2017 loss of her son Zachary, who died of a seizure; she once fell into the ground above his casket at Millbury’s Central Cemetery.

According to the prosecution, Light parked her blue Toyota in a restricted zone and recorded jurors, a video later found on her phone, while she insisted she was waiting for Clancy to emerge. Her attorney, Jennifer White, dismissed the claim as a misunderstanding, saying Light only sought a picture of Clancy. Judge William Sullivan denied a $50,000 bail request, ordered her to stay away from the courthouse, jurors, and witnesses, and limited her presence to her own hearings.

A conviction could result in a sentence of up to 20 years. Meanwhile, the Clancy trial itself ended in a mistrial after jurors deadlocked for a third time.
