Supporters rally for new right-wing party People of Israel ahead of elections
Hundreds gathered at Jerusalem’s Cinema City to back the newly formed People of Israel party just days before voting begins.
A rally at Cinema City in Jerusalem drew several hundred supporters of the two-month-old People of Israel (Amcha Yisrael) party, just 36 hours before polls open. Party leader Ofer Winter addressed the audience, flanked by second-list candidate Yoseph Haddad, and vowed to pursue a “real right” to finish the war and reject a Palestinian state. The event featured purple balloons, Israeli flags, and enthusiastic chants of the party name.
Winter rejected Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s urging to withdraw, insisting the party would stay in the race. Some attendees, such as Odaya Perry and Asher Lictbraun, voiced personal support and dismissed poll predictions, hoping the party would become an election surprise.
