Survey shows ANO leading, STAN overtakes ODS ahead of September parliamentary vote

A poll for Právo finds ANO ahead of the September Chamber election, with STAN moving past ODS, while Motoristé fall below the parliamentary threshold.

According to a poll commissioned by Právo and carried out by the NMS agency from 28 August to 2 September, ANO is positioned to win the September elections to the Chamber of Deputies, with STAN now second after surpassing ODS. The Pirates and SPD are expected to receive the fourth and fifth highest vote shares, while all remaining parties are forecast to stay under the five-percent threshold required for parliamentary representation.

The survey notes that Motoristé’s backing has dropped beneath that mark, which would give the opposition a slim majority of seats. The poll surveyed 1,044 respondents. Analyst Tereza Friedrichová linked STAN’s surge to upcoming municipal elections, and political scientist Ladislav Cabada described the party as a leading advocate of liberal policies, euro support, and aid to Ukraine.
