Sweden announces new winter assistance package for Ukraine's energy and public services
Sweden will provide a winter aid package to Ukraine aimed at electricity, heating, water, and essential services.
The assistance targets the most urgent needs before and during the 2026 winter, covering power and heating for homes, energy and water infrastructure, and funding for hospitals and schools. Benjamin Dousa warned that Russia is trying to make the upcoming winter unbearable by striking at energy supplies. The package adds to Sweden's ongoing support for Ukraine that began in 2022.
